Harbour Adventures

Nautical stories your guests walk through together: a Pirates of the Caribbean deck, or a treasure run across a venue or a park, with maps that only work when two crews compare them.

Both formats in this category are co-operative. Nobody is eliminated and nobody sits out a round. Guests are split into crews, each crew holds part of the information, and the finish only works when the crews talk to each other.

The formatsin full.

Pirates of the Caribbean Night

The room is built as a deck: rope rigging, lanterns, a chart table and a sail backdrop. Guests are divided into five crews at the door, and each crew gets one quarter of a chart plus a sealed chest they cannot open alone.

Six stations run in parallel through the evening: knot work, a cipher, a balance puzzle, a lookout game, a cooperage task and the chart table. The finish puts every crew around one table, which is the point of the whole format.

What is included

  • Sail backdrop 4 x 3 m, rope rigging run across 8 m, 12 LED lanterns
  • Chart table 200 x 100 cm with four chart quarters and a compass set
  • Six task stations with 60 props, including five sealed chests
  • Three hosts in costume for the full 4 hours of program
  • Costume crate for guests: 40 items, sashes, hats and sabres (soft props)
  • Sound system 2 x 400 W with a maritime cue list and one microphone

Adaptable inside this price: Station count moves between four and six to fit your floor plan. The format runs outdoors in a fenced area of 400 m2 at the same price, and the chart finish can be timed to land right before a dinner service.

Treasure Run

Teams of six to eight move between eight checkpoints spread across the venue, a garden or a park. Each checkpoint hands back one line of a shared answer, so no team can finish without the others having done their part.

Because the route is modular, the program works with guests arriving late and with a group that wants to stop for food halfway. Hosts carry radios and keep every checkpoint staffed.

What is included

  • Eight checkpoint kits with signage, props and a printed clue set
  • Two hosts plus one roaming coordinator with radios for 3 hours
  • Printed map pack for up to 12 teams and a final answer board 1.5 x 1 m
  • Gazebo 3 x 3 m for the start and finish point
  • Battery PA for the briefing and the wrap-up, one microphone

Adaptable inside this price: Checkpoint count moves between six and eight, and the route can be rewritten around your own venue or a nearby park. An indoor-only version for a hall of 300 m2 is available at the same price.

How theseevenings run.

  1. Crews are formed at the door

Hosts hand out crew colours, a map fragment and the first instruction. No briefing runs longer than six minutes.

  2. Stations open in parallel

Four to six stations run at once, so no crew queues. Two hosts rotate between them and keep the pace.

  3. Crews merge for the finish

The last task needs every fragment on one table. The reveal is read out loud, then the room goes back to food and music.

Hosts and crew numbers are listed with each format above. One coordinator is on site for the whole programme, from bump-in to bump-out.

What the venueneeds for these.

  • A clear floor of at least 120 m2 for the station layout, or a fenced outdoor area of 400 m2.
  • Four standard 230 V power points within 15 m of the station area.
  • Trolley access from the loading point to the room: a lift, or a doorway at least 90 cm wide.
  • Tables and chairs from the venue: one table per station plus seating for your guest count.

Bump-in up to 3 hours before the event, bump-out within 1-2 hours after. Programme hours do not include either.

Programmes in this category are run for adult groups; where a format is part of a mixed event with a casino-styled zone, the 18+ limit applies to that zone.

Questions

Questions weget asked.

Is anybody eliminated?

No. Both formats are co-operative: crews hold different pieces of information and the finish needs all of them. Nobody is knocked out and nobody waits a round.

Does this work outdoors?

Yes. The Pirates of the Caribbean Night runs in a fenced outdoor area of 400 m2 at the same price, and the Treasure Run was written for a venue, a garden or a nearby park. We need vehicle access to within 30 m of the station area.

What if it rains?

Both formats have an indoor layout we agree in advance as part of the run sheet, so the decision on the day is a phone call rather than a renegotiation. The price does not change.
